postheadericon XP does not start winnet.dll

    PROBLEM:

This is a fix for users that are unable to start windows xp because of an error with the dll name "winnet.dll"

NOTICE: Do not confuse winnet.dll with the legit file wininet.dll

    SOLUTION:

To resolve this behavior, follow these steps:

    1. Start the task manager by pressing the CRTL ALT and DELL key at the same time ( CRTL+ALT+DEL )

    2. Select file followed by new task and type CMD in the input box and press OK.

    3. Close the task manager and type del C:\WINDOWS\System32\winnet.dll in the new black dos window followed by enter.

    4. Do the same for C:\WINDOWS\System32\winnet.ini

    5. Restart the computer and your problem should be solved !

    CONCLUSION:

This is a trojan virus that has infected your computer that can be deleted by this fix !
