postheadericon Sony vaio notebook replace battery error in windows 7

After a windows 7 upgrade on a sony vaio notebook windows was telling me that i had a bad battery and that it should be replaced.

Power on the notebook and start hitting the F2 key multiple times

You should have enterd the bios now.

Remove the power adapter.

1) If the notebook shutsdown follow these instructions:

- Remove the battery from the notebook. Now press and hold the power button for 30 seconds.

-Start the notebook and check if the problem is resolved.

If the problem hasn't been solved, you will have to buy a new battery.

2) If the notebook does not shutdown when you remove the power adapter while in the bios, follow these instructions:

- In windows go to start and select RUN, type MSCONFIG and click OK.

- In MSCONFIG open the Startup tab and disable the ISB Utility.

Also make sure you have all the sony vaio software updated.

This text was send to me by sony vaio support when i complained about a bad battery in windows 7.

Thnx Sony !
